Birds & Beansprouts is an original musical following adopted songwriter Shaylee’s identity crisis as she ventures through the college audition process. It’s a folksy coming-of-age film for the stage with a cinematic score and choral vocals that transport you right to small-town Central Oregon. Started by Joe in 2018 at Carnegie Mellon University, we workshopped an early version of the show in 2019 at CMU's Playground Festival. In the summer of 2021, we created a virtual workshare produced by Carnegie Mellon's College of Fine Arts and School of Drama.
